Talent Arena 2026with Mobile World Capital Barcelona
The second edition of Mobile World Capital Barcelona's digital talent event, alongside MWC, at Fira de Barcelona's Montjuïc venue. Attendees followed the sessions in their language on their phone.

The digital talent event
Talent Arena, Mobile World Capital Barcelona’s event for digital talent, held its second edition from 2 to 4 March 2026 at Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc (Hall 8), at the same time as MWC Barcelona and 4YFN.
Mobile World Capital Barcelona is a public-private foundation that promotes the digital development of society. The event is co-organised by the GSMA, in collaboration with Barcelona City Council, the Generalitat de Catalunya and Spain’s Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service. Its aim is to connect talent, industry and training, and to make Barcelona an international meeting point for digital talent.
It is aimed at developers, tech professionals, students, companies, educational institutions and tech communities, and sets out to bring technology leaders together with the international developer community. Entry was free, with prior registration.

The programme

The content was organised into six areas: artificial intelligence, software engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, management and emerging technologies such as quantum computing and NewSpace. There were talks, workshops and hackathons, with real challenges set by organisations such as Barça Innovation Hub, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, the GSMA and EAE.
The big new feature in 2026 was the XPRO area, with advanced content for experienced professionals. Also making their debut were a robotics and gaming space, with demonstrations, and Next HR, a track designed for human resources teams.
The names announced for this edition included:
- Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web
- Kate Darling, researcher at the Boston Dynamics AI Institute
- Tim Serewicz, Vice President of Education at the Linux Foundation
- Pablo Jarillo-Herrero, MIT professor and a pioneer in the study of graphene
- Steve Aoki, DJ, producer and entrepreneur
Berners-Lee, Aoki and Darling headlined a line-up that also featured science communicators such as Carlos Santana (DotCSV) and José Luis Crespo (Quantum Fracture).
What we set up
In Hall 8 we set up Speech. Developers, students and professionals could scan a QR code and follow Talent Arena’s sessions in their own language, on their own phone, without downloading an app. Each of them chose between the AI interpretation through headphones and the live text on their phone’s screen.
