Tech Spirit Travelwith Tech Barcelona
The first edition of Tech Spirit Travel brought travel technology founders, investors and companies together at Palau Macaya, with the sessions in each attendee's language, on their phone.

The day
On 9 July 2026, Tech Barcelona launched Tech Spirit Travel at Palau Macaya, the Puig i Cadafalch building on Passeig de Sant Joan. It was a morning about travel technology with three groups in the spotlight: the founders changing how we get around, the investors backing them and the companies that have already scaled.
Tech Spirit began in February 2020, after Mobile World Congress and 4YFN were cancelled, and it is the annual meeting point for Barcelona’s innovation ecosystem. In 2026 it also had themed editions: health in February, travel in July and, in September, Tech Spirit Women.
The programme Tech Barcelona published included, among other sessions:
- Amazon Web Services: AI as the industry’s new operating system.
- Identify Travel and Bundleport: startups reinventing travel.
- Encomenda, Real Ventures and Plus Partners: investors’ next bets, on a panel moderated by ACCIÓ.
- ElevenLabs: how voice AI is changing travel.
- Skyscanner, Exoticca and Level: what they expect from the industry in 2030.
What we set up
We brought Speech to Palau Macaya. By scanning a QR code, each attendee chose their language and opened the session on their phone, with no app or account. That way, the morning’s talks, panels and conversations could be followed without leaving their seat.
