Tech Barcelona once again brought women founders, executives, researchers and investors from the tech ecosystem together at Pier07, with the sessions in each attendee's language, on their phone.

The day
On 17 September 2026, Tech Spirit Women returned to Pier07, Tech Barcelona’s building on Via Laietana devoted to health and life sciences, which had also hosted the 2025 edition. It was a morning open to everyone until tickets ran out, designed as a meeting point for Barcelona’s tech community.
The organisers point out that women are still a minority in the sector’s digital workforce and that, although progress is being made, there is still a way to go. Their commitment to gender equality in tech has a name of its own: #TechBcn4Women.
The programme moved between Spanish, English and Catalan. After an institutional welcome from the State Secretariat for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence and the Generalitat de Catalunya, it included sessions on AI and social entrepreneurship, additive manufacturing with HP and building a quantum computer from Barcelona with Qilimanjaro, as well as the Catalan-language panel “Invertim en elles” (We invest in them), moderated by ACCIÓ, and a session with GFT and Skyscanner on agentic AI in business.
What we set up
We set up Speech at Pier07. With a programme that jumped from Spanish to English and Catalan, Speech let each attendee stay in a single language, the one they chose when scanning the QR code, whoever was speaking.
